CHEDDAR // SUNDAY FUNDAY

Last Sunday we took a family trip to cheddar. There can only be a few people who haven’t heard of Cheddar, but most of them will think of cheese! However, there is also a town of Cheddar in Somerset.

There is two parts of the cheddar, the town and the Gorge.

Cheddar Gorge is mostly dramatic cliffs and caves/caverns.

The town has several tea and coffee Rooms, Restaurants and Cute Shops it’s a very pretty place especially on a sunny day.

So, like I said we decided to take a trip to cheddar with Adam’s Family (Boyfriends). The family that came with us was Adams Parents, Sister, Sister’s Boyfriend and Brother.

After exploring the town and grabbing a quick ice cream, we decided to do the National Trust Walk.

The walk was VERY steep and rocky. We barely made it up the hill, but luckily about half way up built into the hillside was some steps, which helped us climb the last bit.

When we finally arrived at the top, the views of the Reservoir, Glastonbury Tor and Cheddar Town etc. was amazing and the sense of accomplishment was well worth it!

After clambering back down, we popped to one of local pubs for a drink to cool down before heading to Cheddar Reservoir.

The reservoir was so pretty and gave us a great opportunity to take some more photos.

Overall it was a great family day out.
Days like this makes me appreciate the important people in my life!
If your in the Somerset area, Cheddar is so worth a visit!
